Finding my crush in another world

“ Go team “ Go team” Fight, Fight, Fight " Mid-semester Kiryuu High school conducted this year’s annual ball tournament for all high school students. As a player and a committee member, Lance Uberdain, who is a 2nd year high school student with a tall physique, brown skin, long hair , long eyelashes and blue eyes, was struggling to find his ground between these events and his personal goal. His goal today is to confess his love to his crush Alice. Alice was the student council president and was known for her beauty and intelligence. Coupled with her enthusiastic smile and kind attitude, she was the number one star inside and outside the school. Due to these characteristics, Lance was drawn to her light and, in fact, she had been his crush since elementary school. He entered Kiryuu high school because of her and, in order for them to cross paths with each other, he volunteered in many positions,, whatever activities and organizations that might allow him to narrow the gap between them. Since Lance was adamant about his pursuit of Alice, he was able to sometimes initiate a conversation with her and, for him, it was the biggest step to being able to talk to her. There was one time that he helped her find some lost documents and carry heavy files to the storage room. These Lance's actions boosted his self, Lance's confidence to convey his feelings and so the many helps and favors he fulfilled for her lead to his decision to confess his feelings today. A round afternoon after lunch break, Lance finally settled the events he needed to accomplish and was able to have free time for himself. He directly headed to the council office to see Alice. “Knock knock”, Lance knocked on the door before saying. “Hello excuse me, this is Lance Uberdain from sports committee. Is President Alice currently available? I would like to have a word with her”. After voicing his intentions, Lance waited for a few minutes before Alice opened the door and met him. She directly said “ I am so sorry, Lance, to make you wait. I just finished the last document that I need to sign. What do you want from me? Lance was taken aback for a moment before he gained his composure and asked Alice to have a chat inside an empty classroom. Surprised, Alice was about to give her consent when she remembered that she still had some work to finish other than signing the documents, so she hesitantly voiced her declination. When Lance had observed her hesitance he panicked and thought that she was about to decline his request. He immediately thought of an idea and said, "Well if you can’t go this time, can we have a chat at the back of the gym after you are done at the council? I want to say something very important". Lance was fidgeting his fingers while saying those words as if a girl was asking a favor to a boy. Alice then replied “ Okay, I will go “, but you can tell me this instance if you want? So to save time. Lance readily replied with a laugh, “ It’s best if I say this to you in private, because it's very important". He then backed away and said "You better come, alright? I’ll be waiting for you. Good luck with your work". He smiled again and walked away. Confused, Alice voiced her promise to go and thought about the strange act Lance was doing. She thought about some other things like love, confession and blushed, but in the end she concluded that Lance only wanted to talk about school matters because she views him as responsible and she admires him for that and finds it cool. After inviting Alice to meet at the back of the school gym, Lance was feeling ecstatic and agitated as well as nervous because he was about to fulfill his dearest wish to convey his feelings to Alice and the possible outcome of his confession. He went to the cafeteria and bought some cold drinks to refresh himself and afterwards, he went inside the gym to watch the ongoing games. There he meets Alice's close friend Rebecca, who is cheering for her classmates. He asked Rebecca about Alice or had she already experience of rejecting suitors in secret. Rebecca was surprised about Lance’s question and laughed. He teased Lance, saying that Alice had already rejected 30 suitors and he might be the 31st. Seemingly depressed by Rebecca’s teasing, Lance felt limping even though he was sitting. Observing Lance’s behavior, Rebecca surmised that Lance had a thing for Alice, so she comforted him to have courage and at least voice his feelings for her before it was too late and regret. Thanks to Rebecca’s encouragement, Lance once again felt motivated and enthusiastically watched the game, even helping Rebecca cheer for her classmates. As time goes on, Finally, the most awaited time came. The ongoing game was almost over. Lance went to the back of the gym early to wait for Alice. He was very nervous and the sweat on his forehead had already run to the back of his t-shirt. His heartbeat was pounding so fast like he was running in a marathon as he waited for Alice. Maybe it’s because as time went on he felt indecisive and his confidence was waning. Lance couldn't help but pace back and forth when suddenly Alice called to him “ Lance I'm here” while waving. Like hearing the most wonderful melody in the world and the feared death sentence on earth. Lance was routed on the spot like a frozen ice block. Alice ran towards him and said “ Lance, did I make you wait for so long? “ stuttering a little, Lance replied, “ Noo no I just got here no need to feel bad about it”. Smiling at him, Alice replied “ So what is the important thing that you want to talk about? When Alice asked in a straightforward manner, Lance’s nervousness once again skyrocketed and he found it difficult to speak. He was stuttering and his words were very incoherent, which Alice found very funny. “ Alice wheen I ffiiirsttt see see yyouu I sauuuw kaaakakindness in you aaand I lalllike it thathat is why I faaid it bebeautiful annd atratractive and I admire you aalot before completing his speech Alice stopped him while smiling" Calm down Lance, just take it easy, there’s no hurry”. Do it again this time”. Because of what she said, Lance gained some confidence. He thought to himself “ That’s right. I must properly say my words so that I can clearly convey what I feel. I must stay strong!”. With a serious expression, once again Lance said his piece “ Alice, when I first met you during our elementary days I saw kindness in you and I, liked it and found it beautiful, and also, I admire you for that and I enrolled in this school just to see you and as the days go by seeing you and admiring you made me develop these faint feelings and I just confirmed this not long ago that… pausing his last sentence Lance suddenly feel unsure if he must say those words leading to the anticipation of the other party. Alice was also feeling nervous and her heart was also pounding so fast, thinking that Lance might really confess to her and noticed that he might be in love with her, so she waited for Lance’s final words in anticipation, but when Lance was about to say the main part of his speech, noticed noticed widely and he notices a flash of light blinding his eyes. When he regained his sight, his surroundings had changed and he found himself on the river bank. He felt dizzy and then shocked when he twisted his head left to right, but found the place different and unfamiliar. Then he remembered Alice was in front of him last time, but when he tried to search for her he found nothing but himself all alone and he thought to himself that maybe he was transported to another world.
